The Selecto SMF IM600 and IM614 are designed for cube ice machines utilizing micro-particle filtration and scale inhibition technology to remove sediment, while preventing slime buildup. SMF IcePro and IC600-S systems are designed specifically for flaker/nugget ice machines, where chlorine and chloramines must be removed from water.
All SMF series ice machine filters contain Scale Block Agent, a slowly soluble, food-grade polyphosphate that keeps scale-forming minerals (Ca & Mg) in water and prevents scale build-up on the freezing surface. Scale Block Agent also contains a control agent to inhibit corrosion by forming a thin protective layer on the metal surface. All this means restaurants can finally put ice machine concerns “on ice”.
